Round 9 – Oulton Park

This weekend (6-8 September) Cheshire’s picturesque Oulton Park plays host to Round 9 of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship and tension is building as the triple-header event sees the all-important Showdown-six decided.

Honda Racing is heading to the weekend with Andrew Irwin still in contention for the all-important Showdown in sixth place with 146 points, but Showdown rival Peter Hickman is hot on his heels in seventh place – just one point behind. Xavi is sitting within reach of the Showdown in eighth place, but this weekend’s results in all-three races will be crucial for the Showdown-six.

Tom Neave arrives at Oulton Park fresh with the memory of a podium finish last time out in the National Superstock 1000 Championship. Tom is sitting fifth overall in the championship standings and is hoping for another solid weekend to bolster his position in the series.
