Round 8 – Cadwell Park
This weekend the Honda Racing team don’t have too far to travel for the eighth round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship, which takes place in their backyard at Cadwell Park in Lincolnshire. With sprits high in the team after Andrew Irwin’s victory at Thruxton last time out, Andrew will be looking to strengthen his place in the top-six ahead of the Showdown, while teammate Xavi Forés will be looking to move back into the running.
Tom Neave will be looking to keep improving in the Superstock 1000 Championship at his home round. With local knowledge on his side of the 2.2-mile Lincolnshire circuit, Tom has been consistent all year and never far from the front group and this weekend he hopes to improve that by edging into the front pack.
Cadwell Park hosts the biggest round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship, with thousands of bike fans travelling to the circuit to watch the racing action. Probably most famous for ‘the Mountain’, where bikes frequently get airborne, it has a striking mix of twists, cambers and gradients that have led to the circuit’s popularity with races and fans alike over the years.
