Honda Racing all set for Oulton Park
This Bank Holiday weekend (5-7 May), Oulton Park plays host to the third round of the Bennetts British Superbike Championship and, with Dan Linfoot side-lined with injury, three-time BSB Champion Ryuichi Kiyonari joins Jason O’Halloran at Honda Racing aboard the CBR1000RR Fireblade.
Fresh off the back of his first podium of the year, last time out at Brands Hatch in race one, O’Halloran arrives confident that the Fireblade can reward him once again this weekend. With a recent test at the Cheshire circuit hugely positive, the Aussie’s eyes are firmly on the podium and increasing his points tally.
The Honda team welcomes Kiyonari for the weekend and the popular Japanese ace remains the most successful rider at the 2.692-mile circuit with 12 race victories to his name. He will assist the team across the weekend with the on-going development of the BSB-spec Fireblade.
British Superbike action gets underway on Saturday 5 May with first practice at 1005 (BST). Both races are scheduled to get underway on Monday 7 May at 1330 and 1630 (BST).
